Dramatic dashcam footage captured by @ghazish_ depicts a masked man fleeing a restaurant brandishing a handgun. Several other people can be seen fleeing through the parking lot. The video has no sound.

- The video also showed several masked gunmen allegedly breaking into the restaurant, breaking through the counter area and firing multiple bullets, terrifying customers, the New York Post reported.
- According to the Washington Post, at least six people were injured in this tragic shooting, including several workers on Route 22.
- The incident occurred shortly around 9 p.m. at a fast food restaurant on Route 22 in Union County, where some employees were reportedly still inside as Union County police investigated the area, WABC and CBS New York reported. However, the area is now safe.
- A man whose girlfriend worked at the store told CBS that a group of masked men broke into the counter and fired several shots.
- “One witness was unconscious. I was shot once in the face…at least twice in the leg,” a 911 dispatcher can be heard saying in audio obtained by CBS New York News.
Family members recount horrific experiences
Frightened employees were restrained inside the restaurant while law enforcement investigated, according to family members.
According to ABC7, an employee’s father rushed to the restaurant after receiving a disturbing call from his son.
Upon arrival, he described the environment as akin to a “war zone.”
A Lyft driver named Martin recalled hearing at least seven gunshots as he passed by while completing a ride nearby.
