The couple first met when Charles, the author of nine books, was asked to review Jarman’s 2021 best-selling non-fiction book River King, which focuses on her area of expertise about the Vikings.
From there, their relationship developed, leading them to conduct archaeological digs together and co-host a podcast before publicly acknowledging their relationship in October 2024.
For their intimate ceremony, the couple chose Arizona, and Sedona’s famous Cathedral Rock seemed to provide a picturesque backdrop for their wedding photos.
Jarman wore a light blue sleeveless gown with cutout detailing at the waist, while Spencer opted for a dark suit paired with an open-collared light blue shirt for the informal ceremony. In another photo, Jarman and Spencer took a smiling selfie together.
