Rejig appoints 12 secretaries and 27 additional secretaries

Chanchal Kumar, who is currently posted in the Northeast region department, will be transferred to the I&B department, exchanging posts with Sanjay Jaju. Tuesday’s order included the appointment of 12 secretaries and 27 additional secretary-level officials.In 1995, AGMUT cadre Rohit Kansal was appointed as the new rural development secretary. Tourism Minister Srivatsa Krishna will be the new Minority Affairs Minister, while UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar will be the Tourism Minister.Nagaland cadre IAS officer Abhishek Singh, who has been promoted to the secretary level, will take over as director of the National Testing Authority. Nivedita Shukla Verma, a 1991-batch IAS officer and currently secretary, chemicals and petrochemicals department, will be posted as secretary, administrative reforms and public grievances department. Punjab cadre IAS officer Tejveer Singh will be the new chemicals and petrochemicals minister.UP cadre officer Narendra Bhooshan has been appointed as the new secretary of the Department of Land Resources. Chandra Sekhar Kumar, currently the Minority Affairs Secretary, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Rainfed Areas Authority.Tuesday’s order also mentioned that 1995-batch HP cadre officer Bharat Harbanslal Khera has been appointed as OSD, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and he will take over as secretary on April 30.
