Charlie Kirk’s security chief files defamation lawsuit against conservative activist Candace Owensclaiming she made false accusations against him for plotting to assassinate Kirk.
Kirk was shot to death on September 10 while addressing an audience and debating students at Utah Valley University. Police arrested Tyler Robinson and he has been formally charged with murder.

Brian Harpole, whose security firm has been working with Kirk and his organization turning point america Alleges that since 2018, Owens fabricated a narrative suggesting he met with “Army intelligence officials and Erica KirkAccording to NewsNation, Charlie’s now-widow “planned the assassination at Fort Huachuca.”
He is taking legal action over the matter Owensher media company, and her podcast guest Mitchell Snow are being sued for defamation, invasion of privacy by false light, and civil conspiracy to libel.

She countered that Harpole did not ask for a withdrawal or make any demands before filing the lawsuit.
“You never made any kind of request for attraction. When I reached out, you never responded to me. This is not normal at all,” she said. “You send ‘Hey, this is what you said, this is not right, retract it or I’m going to sue you,’ and Brian Harpole didn’t do that.”
She claimed his lawsuit lacked merit and that her criticism of his security capabilities was merely subjective.
“Confidence is a matter of opinion. Brian, I don’t believe you can sue someone who thinks you’re stupid,” she commented.
