Candace Owens Challenges “American Turning Point” Charlie Kirk’s succession. On X, Candace asks TPUSA producer Blake Neff to share with her video of Charlie Kirk naming his wife Erica Kirk As CEO.
Days after Charlie was shot and killed in Utah, Erica was named the new CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Turning Point USA. The group said Charlie had previously said he wanted his wife to lead if he died, The Guardian reported.
It all started when Candace shared an article by Sarah Longwell titled “We Don’t Talk Enough About President Candace Owens.” Sarah wrote on Regarding the article, “This may sound ridiculous to us politicians. But in my focus groups, Owens consistently emerged as one of the non-politicians in the White House that voters imagined.”

In reply to Candace’s post, Blake wrote“You should run. I think the entire country would benefit from knowing more about who you really are.”
Blake’s comments didn’t sit well with Candace, who responded by challenging Turning Point USA over the succession.

“Tell you what, Blakey…you made a deal when you sent me the video of Charlie naming Erica CEO (should he die young),” she wrote.
Candace has been widely criticized for her conspiracy theories about Charlie’s murder Attack Erica and “American Turning Point” after Charlie’s death. Among other accusations, she accuses Erica of removing all episodes of “The Charlie Kirk Show” from Spotify, Apple and YouTube shortly after taking over as CEO of Turning Point USA following Charlie’s murder. She also claimed that Charlie took off his wedding ring the night before he was assassinated in Utah.
Charlie, 31, was allegedly shot and killed by Tyler Robinson on September 10 while attending a campus event in Utah. According to a statement from Utah Valley University (UVU), the shooting occurred around 12:20 pm local time during a student Q&A event at UVU in Orem.
“King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes that humanity is to be tested by God. Today we face such a test, but we also know that God has provided us with everything we need to overcome this test,” Turning Point USA said in a statement at the time.

The statement further said, “All of us at Turning Point America have a special role to play in carrying on the mantle of Charlie Kirk and completing his vision to bring us all closer to our Lord and foster a prosperous nation for generations to come. As Charlie always said, ‘We have a country to save.’ We will not surrender or kneel in the face of evil. We will continue. The attempt to destroy Charlie’s work will be our opportunity to make it stronger and more enduring than ever before.”
