Candace Owens discussed the ongoing conflict between Iran, Israel, and the United States on her weekly podcast on Monday, March 3, claiming late TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk was the conflict’s “first victim.”
The discussion on Candace Owens’ show about Charlie Kirk becoming the “first casualty of the Iran war” came after Megyn Kelly shared an old post from Charlie Kirk in which he objected to U.S. involvement in a possible “regime change war” with Iran. Sharing the post, Kelly wrote: “In 5 months he would have been killed but he saw the truth.”
Owens took over from Kelly to reiterate the claim that Charlie Kirk was shot in September 2025 for opposing the war. Iran. She has long hinted at Charlie Kirk’s widow, Erica Kirk, and her alleged relationship with Israelwas the mastermind behind the murder of the founder of TPUSA. But none of her claims remain unproven. Tyler Robinson, 22, admitted to killing Charlie Kirk and is on trial in Provo, Utah.
Owens also recently released a documentary about Erica Kirk called “Charlie’s Bride,” in which she further attempts to suggest Erica Kirk was the mastermind behind Charlie’s death. Notably, on the same podcast, Owens accused Trump of “betraying” the United States and Israel and being “panicked by the thought of non-Jews refusing to fight.”
Charlie Kirk’s old post resurfaces
The controversial post claiming that Charlie Kirk was the “first victim” of the Iran war was posted on April 3, 2025. Last April, the Middle East was experiencing major tensions, mainly centered on Israel’s war with Hamas. Gaza Israeli troops launch ground operations around the Gaza cities of Shujaia and Rafah.
In the post, Charlie Kirk urged Trump to show restraint, just as he did during his first term. “War mongers fear this is their last chance to get the white whale they have been chasing for three decades, a full-scale regime change war against Iran,” Charlie Kirk wrote.
“A new Middle East war would be a catastrophic mistake. Our military reserves are depleted by three years of supporting Ukraine. (…) War is not easy and can easily become a disaster.
He added: “Thanks to President Trump’s restraint during his first term, the United States has an excellent opportunity to extricate itself from the Middle East quagmire for good.”
