California election results: Who won the governor, Los Angeles mayor, secretary of state and attorney general primaries?
California voters head to the polls on Tuesday for the state’s statewide primary. Voting ended at 8:00 pm local time and vote counting is still in progress.

Governor (vacant seat)
With term-limited Gov. Gavin Newsom unable to seek a third term, more than 60 candidates are in the race. According to NBC News, approximately 16.8% of expected votes have been counted, with preliminary results showing:
Steve Hilton (Republican): 28.9% (415,696 votes)
Xavier Becerra (D): 25.0% (359,455 votes)
Tom Steyer (Dem): 18.2% (261,814 votes)

Incumbent Mayor Karen Bass (D), listed as an independent in some early vote counts, has an early lead:
Karen Bass: ~38.1%
Spencer Pratt: ~27.9%
U.S. House of Representatives (all 52 districts)
California remains a key battleground in the battle for control of the House of Representatives. Democrats are looking to make progress following recent redistricting reforms. With many regions reporting only limited returns, noteworthy early results include:
District 1 (special and regular elections): Republican James Gallagher and Democrat Mike McGuire are leading in separate races.
District 6: Independent Kevin Kiley leads with about 24.9% of the vote.
District 7: Doris Matsui (Democrat) leads with about 34.9%, followed by Mai Vang (Democrat) at 31.8%.
District 13: Democrat Adam Gray appears to be on track to advance.
District 21: Democrat Jim Costa leads with about 43.7% of the vote.
District 22: Republican David Valadao has an early lead.
Statewide Administrative Office
Secretary of State:
Incumbent Shirley Weber (D) is a strong favorite to advance, ahead of Republican Donald Wagner and other candidates.
minister of justice:
Incumbent Rob Bonta (D) has an early lead over Republican Michael Gates and other challengers, and is widely expected to advance easily.
