“My car progresses us “From 2018 to 2026,” Rishi Mukherjee wrote on Instagram, sharing a video documenting how he started his journey and how it went.

The video, which consists of photos, shows that he owned a 2017 BMW 530i xDrive in 2020. In 2023, it was replaced by a Tesla Model Y. In 2025, he got a BMW 750e. Finally, in 2026, he became the proud owner of a Ferrari Roma Spider.

How was the social media reaction?

Some netizens joked: “I experienced a short G period and quickly understood.” Mukherjee responded, “I actually own a Tesla, a 7 Series and a Ferrari now. Tesla’s Autopilot is so crazy. It’s great when I don’t want to drive at all. It can complete 100% of the driving tasks. It’s super convenient.”

Another said: “Awesome bro.” A third commented: “Brother what do you do for a living?” Mukherjee replied: “Software development.” A fourth wrote: “Lease?” The techie explained, “Ferrari and Tesla are not. Those are bought. BMW is. Never buy a 7 series. Always lease one. Get a new car every 3 years.”

In a previous Instagram post, the techie shared that he bought the car for his 33rd birthday. “Jarkandi guy who bought a Ferrari,” he wrote.

Recalling the journey, he posted that he and his wife first saw the car in 2025, in a showroom. He test drove it and fell in love with the car. Soon after, he ordered a car and finally received it in January 2026.

According to Rishi Mukherjee’s LinkedIn profile, he has been working at Sezzle for the past 10 years.
