More IYC leaders arrested

Four Indian Youth Congress leaders – Krishna Hari, Kundan Yadav, Ajay Kumar and Narasimha Yadav – were arrested over the protests and taken to the Patiala House Court, where heavy security was deployed. Officials said the detainees were being identified and appropriate legal action would be taken.The alleged offenses are punishable by up to seven years in prison. Lawyers for the accused argued that they were affiliated with a political party and alleged that the FIR was politically motivated. He also noted that the defendant was educated and had degrees.Police said the anti-national slogans were raised in the presence of international leaders and other prominent personalities. They added that the detentions were needed to apprehend other fleeing defendants, investigate the involvement of arrested leaders and recover their mobile phones to verify potential sources of funds. Police also said three officers were injured in the incident.

What happened at the AI ​​Summit?

Members of the Indian Youth Congress tricked into the Bharat Mandapam on Friday and briefly raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The youth wing added that they had “no objection to the AI ​​summit” and “will no longer sit quietly.”The “topless” nature of the protests prompted a backlash, with BJP leaders blaming the Congress and Rahul Gandhi for orchestrating the riots. The BJP also termed the protest as a “topless, mindless and shameless” riot and claimed that the protest was planned at Rahul Gandhi’s residence.
