Long shared a screenshot of a conversation between Alex Rosen and himself. Rosen is the founder of the Houston-based group Predator Poachers, which conducts sting operations against adults seeking to engage in sex with minors.

“Texts between me and Alex Rosen this morning, nice fake set up harasser – but I won’t even allow this person to attend my protests until they are 16,” Long wrote.

He added, “Nothing other than a protest was discussed. My team immediately identified and blocked the apparent phishing scam.”

In the text messages, Rosen can be seen allegedly asking Long if the information was true. Long denied them and blamed the whole thing on the Groypers, an army of followers led by far-right activist Nick Fuentes. Long also promised his attorneys would take action during the alleged exchange.

Jack Long New York Protest

The alleged text messages targeting Lan surfaced after growing anger over Lan’s protests in New York. During a vigil for Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Long was seen carrying a goat and making obscene gestures that went viral, sparking a row.

Later, he also protested in front of Gracie Tower, the official residence of New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani. There, Long clashed with counter-protesters, and one of the protesters, Amir Barat, reportedly threw an explosive device. The 18-year-old was successfully detained along with another man, 19-year-old Ibrahim Kayumi.

After being arrested, the suspects reportedly told police that they were inspired by the Islamic State group.

New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tish said Monday there was no indication the attack was related to the ongoing war with Iran, but added the city remained on high alert.

Then, on Tuesday afternoon, a park near the mayor’s mansion was evacuated and several surrounding streets were closed while police investigated reports of a “suspicious device.” The object was later determined to be non-threatening.
