New Delhi: An Indian Army contingent has left for Egypt to participate in the fourth Indo-Egyptian joint special forces exercise – Cyclone-IV – scheduled to be held in Anshas from April 9 to 17.This exercise is a continuation of the two countries’ continuous strengthening of military cooperation, after the previous exercise was successfully held in India. The Indian contingent, consisting of 25 Special Forces personnel, will train with their Egyptian counterparts in a realistic combat environment, a statement said.The exercise is designed to enhance joint mission planning capabilities and improve interoperability through the exchange of special operations best practices. Participating troops will conduct a series of training activities focusing on special operations tactics, techniques and procedures in desert and semi-desert terrain.
