Annie Guthrie, husband Tommaso Cioni, or visiting Savannah at Nancy Guthrie’s home? Roadblocks spark buzz; ‘I wonder…’

Published:

Nancy Guthrie’s family reported the 84-year-old missing on February 1, but she has still not been found. Authorities believe she was taken from her home near Tucson, Arizona, the night before. Now, in the latest development, roadblocks have reportedly been set up along the road where her house in Catalina Foothills is located.

An independent investigative journalist who was on the scene covering the Guthrie case wrote on X: “A company called Quail Construction put up orange traffic barriers along the route. Nancy Guthriestreets. “

Reports of roadblocks have fueled talk of possible family visits. “I wonder if this roadblock is in anticipation of the Guthrie family visiting their mother’s home soon,” one user asked on X, a post that has been viewed more than 19,000 times.

Many seemed to agree, saying the original poster made an “excellent point.” Another added, “It’s possible but I have to believe it has something to do with the large garbage truck having issues with the fire truck trying to get through!!”.

It’s worth noting that the Guthrie family has been in the public eye since the octogenarian disappeared. Guthrie has three children — the “Today” show host; Savannahand brothers and sisters Anne and Camron. They can be seen in numerous videos calling for the mother’s return.

Guthrie family takes center stage

Savannah’s net worth and income also came into focus after an alleged ransom note was sent in the case. Meanwhile, former Air Force member Camron also briefly received media attention, although information about his brother remains sparse. The greatest scrutiny, however, was directed at Anne and her husband, Tommaso Scioni.

This is because Guthrie is believed to have dined with Anne on the night she was taken from the home. Son-in-law Sioney reportedly walked her home after dinner, making him the last person to see her before she was taken away. Initially, former NewsNation reporter Ashley Banfield claimed Cione was a suspect in the case.

However, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos made it clear that no member of the Guthrie family is a suspect in the investigation.

Will members of the Guthrie family go to Nancy Guthrie’s house?

Despite rumors online, there is no indication that members of the Guthrie family will be visiting the 84-year-old’s home. As many have pointed out, the purpose of the roadblocks was to allow for easier access as interest in the case grew and there was a heavy media presence there. AFP also noted that the road had been turned into a one-way lane to speed up traffic.

While authorities have not identified any suspects in the incident, the FBI released a description based on doorbell video footage that showed a man wearing a ski mask. The suspect is described as a man, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build, according to the bureau.
