‘All good people have left Kejriwal’: Rijiju hits back at ‘coercion’ charges as Raghav Chadha, 6 RS MPs join BJP
New Delhi: Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kieron Rijiju Digging on Tuesday am admi party (AAP) Supreme Leader Arvind Kejriwal Claiming that all the “good people” have left him. He also denied accusations of “coercion” by seven members of the Bundestag, including Raghav Chadha Leave AAP and join bjp.In an interview with ANI, Rijiju denied allegations that central agencies were being used to force leaders to change their stance, especially those involving the Enforcement Directorate.“There is no question of coercion. Common people are being robbed in the name of ‘Aam Aadmi’. Arvind Kejriwal has taken complete control of the Aam Aadmi Party and turned it into his own private party,” he said.Talking about the exodus of leaders, he said: “Many people from the Aam Aadmi Party have quit the party and even joined the Bharatiya Janata Party or the Congress.”“There is no question of ED. The investigating agency did its job; we cannot comment on it. Now, only his inner circle is left, engaged in illegal activities together. All the good people have left Kejriwal,” Rijiju added. The BJP leader also targeted the opposition Hindu Bloc, claiming divisions and lack of unity among its electorate.“All those who formed the Indian Union belonged to ‘Tukde-Tukde’. They were not united with each other. They all came together to oppose women’s reservation. Then Rahul Gandhi went and abused Arvind Kejriwal,” he said.“Arvind Kejriwal insulted Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi insulted Mamata Didi. They did not come together on principle. They came together just for loot and for convenience,” he added. The AAP suffered a major setback on Friday when seven members of the Rajya Sabha resigned and announced a merger with the Bharatiya Janata Party, accusing the Kejriwal-led party of straying from its founding principles and values. This political shift resulted in two-thirds of AAP’s Lok Sabha members, including Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal, quit the party and join the Bharatiya Janata Party. Later, they were joined by Harbhajan Singh, Rajinder Gupta, Vikramjit Singh Sahney and Swati Maliwal. With this shift, the BJP’s strength in the Lok Sabha increased from 106 to 113, while the NDA’s strength increased from 141 to 148, including seven nominated members. With more than 30 seats set to fall vacant by the end of the year, the BJP is expected to win at least five seats, close to a two-thirds majority of 163.Meanwhile, AAP MP Sanjay Singh has written to the Lok Sabha secretariat seeking clarification on the party’s unauthorized change of stance in official records, raising further questions amid the political turmoil.
