Chicago authorities are continuing to investigate the murder of 25-year-old Alexander “Xander” Kazanowski as chicago police department A search is underway for four people believed to have been present at the time of the incident.

Officials have not formally identified them as suspects or revealed a possible motive.

Police said they were questioning three men and a woman who were seen near the scene in the Avondale community. The men were described as wearing:
- Black jacket, black baseball cap and blue jeans
- Black jacket, white hooded sweatshirt and black pants
- Blue jacket, blue jeans and brown winter hat
The fourth person is described as an Asian female wearing a black jacket and white pants.

The incident occurred around 3:19 a.m. on March 24 in the 3900 block of West Belmont Avenue. Kazanowski was found unconscious with a head injury and was taken to a hospital where he died.
