“I call on all opposition parties, including the Left and the far Left, to come together and form a united platform against the BJP,” Banerjee said while also inviting political parties across the country to join the initiative.The All India Congress president said she was willing to hold talks with any party interested in discussing the matter. “This is not the time to think that the enemy of my enemy is my friend, our first enemy is the BJP,” she said.Banerjee also claimed that TMC workers and supporters faced attacks in different parts of the state after the election results were announced.“Hooliganism is happening in some places and bad elements have entered their (BJP) ranks,” she claimed, adding that her government had not tolerated atrocities against anyone since it came to power in 2011.The BJP won 207 seats in the 294-member West Bengal Assembly, while the TMC won 80 seats.Earlier in the day, Suvendu Adhikari and five BJP MPs took oath at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, senior BJP leaders and chief ministers of NDA-ruled states.
