U.S. Central Command said the “Iranian regime has been warned.” Hours later, a coordinated U.S. and Israeli strike shocked Tehran’s establishment and killed long-time Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei early on Sunday.In a wide-ranging show of military might, Donald Trump’s United States has launched an epic campaign of fury aimed directly at the rule of Khamenei. U.S. Central Command also released a video visually demonstrating the military operation, which included launching missiles and precision strikes against Tehran, the heart of Iran, and other key locations across the country.The video reportedly shows HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) operated by U.S. ground forces.Israel has also joined the effort, along with the United States, as a key regional ally in the fight against Iran and the regime led by Khamenei in the oil-rich country.Missiles and other weapons used in the attack did not spare the supreme leader. The victims reportedly included Khamenei’s daughter and grandson.U.S. strikes rely on a range of modern military systems. The United States has the world’s largest defense budget and deploys stealth fighters, suicide drones and Tomahawk missiles in operations.Meanwhile, another video released hours earlier reportedly captured a Tomahawk missile fired from a U.S. cruise ship.Central Command’sMeanwhile, as the attack unfolded, Trump once again made clear his longstanding opposition to Khamenei and his rule in Iran, saying it was inconsistent with U.S. interests in the region. Trump announced the operation in an eight-minute video, declaring that the United States was conducting “significant combat operations” to prevent Iran from threatening the United States and its core national security interests. “We will destroy their missiles and raze their missile industry to the ground,” he said.“The U.S. military uses a combination of missiles and drones to strike Iranian targets, while relying on advanced air defense systems to protect its bases in the Middle East from possible retaliation.U.S. warships fired Tomahawk cruise missiles at Iranian targets, while ground forces deployed High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), according to a U.S. official who spoke on condition of anonymity.The U.S. military also uses drones and other undisclosed standoff weapons designed to conduct long-range attacks beyond enemy air defenses. The coordinated strike began on Saturday morning and was carried out using U.S. military assets operating from land, sea and air.
