A serious collision occurred between a BMW and a Land Rover on Highway 80 east of the Hackensack River Bridge in New Jersey. The BMW hit a concrete guardrail and fell into the river. The driver rescued himself and fled the scene on foot. Hackensack Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and found multiple damaged vehicles and a BMW submerged in the river.The driver and passenger of the Land Rover suffered minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital, according to state police. No other injuries were reported at the scene.Police identified the driver of the BMW as 32-year-old Zorawar S Kohli from Englewood Cliffs. According to reports, after the accident, Corley fled the scene on foot and was later found under a nearby train and arrested.Corley was charged with fourth-degree obstruction of justice, fourth-degree flight resisting arrest, two counts of vehicular assault and multiple motor vehicle crimes, according to state police. He has been released pending a future court date. The submerged vehicle was later fished out of the river by Brookside Towing Company, reports said.
