He further expressed concern over rising LPG and fuel prices in the country, saying if the prime minister thinks the situation will be like Covid-19, then he should remember the death toll during the pandemic. “He gave an irrelevant speech in Parliament yesterday… It looked like he should be the Prime Minister of India but has no position… People will have to suffer because of this. LPG and petrol price hike is just the beginning… He claimed that the situation will be like Covid-19 but he forgot how many people died during Covid-19 and how many tragedies happened,” he said.“There should be an all-party meeting, but structural mistakes have been made… and this cannot be solved, especially not by the prime minister. He will do whatever the United States says and will not serve the interests of farmers and the country. He will do whatever the United States and Israel say,” he said.Prime Minister Modi delivered a speech in the Federal House earlier in the day and said that despite the ongoing conflicts in West Asia, India still has sufficient crude oil reserves and strong supply arrangements. He noted that the country has expanded its strategic oil reserves and increased its refining capacity despite disruptions to global trade in the Strait of Hormuz. He also called for an all-party meeting on Wednesday. Rahul said he could not attend the meeting as he had a plan in mind for the Kerala polls.“I cannot attend as I have a plan in Kerala. The all-party meeting should have been held but a structural mistake has been made,” he said.
