Authorities in Arkansas’ Washington County release photos of former reality star Joseph Dugger follow him arrest Wednesday. The 31-year-old, best known for his role on TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting, is facing serious charges involving sexual abuse of a minor.

Charge details
According to jail records reviewed by People magazine, Dugar was booked into the Washington County Detention Center at 3:59 pm local time on March 18, 2026. He currently faces charges of indecent assault and indecent assault on a victim under the age of 12 and indecent assault on a victim over the age of 18.
The arrest was made by the Tontitown Police Department and stemmed from an investigation into an incident in 2020. Authorities claim the inappropriate behavior occurred while Duggar was vacationing with a family in Panama City Beach, Florida.
Charges and Investigations
this Bay County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) released a statement detailing the allegations. Investigators said Dugger molested a 9-year-old girl during a trip to Florida. According to BCSO, Duggar manipulated the victim’s clothing and touched her inappropriately while they sat together.
“The victim stated that Dugger eventually apologized for his actions and the incident ceased after the apology,” the BCSO statement noted.
The case developed further after the victim participated in a forensic interview. Law enforcement officials said that when the victim’s father confronted the former television personality, Duggar “allegedly admitted his conduct to his father and Tondetown detectives.”
Family history and next steps
Duggar’s arrest follows the high-profile 2021 conviction of his brother, Josh Duggar, who is currently serving a 12-year sentence for possession of child sexual abuse material.
Joseph Dugar is currently being held in Arkansas awaiting extradition to Bay County, Florida, where the crime allegedly occurred. While a specific timetable for his transfer has not been released, court records indicate he is scheduled to appear in court on March 20, 2026.
Neither the Bay County Sheriff’s Office nor representatives for the Duggar family provided additional comment at this time.
