In a letter to all MPs, he urged leaders of all political parties to ensure discipline and high ethical conduct among their members. “The way banners, placards and posters are displayed, the language used and the conduct and conduct within the Chamber and Houses of Parliament are matters of deep concern to all of us. With Speaker Birla absent from the discussion, BJP MP Jagdambikar Pal, who presides over the House, announced that the motion had been rejected by a voice vote amid protests and slogans from opposition members demanding an apology from Union Home Minister Amit Shah.After the motion was defeated, Bella returned to the chair on Thursday and addressed the House.“The Lok Sabha represents the sovereign will of 1.4 billion citizens of India.
