Mumbai: India’s Director General of Shipping, in coordination with the MEA and the Indian Embassy in Baghdad, has initiated the process of repatriating the body of 54-year-old Mumbai resident Deonandan Prasad Singh, reported V Narayan. Sources told TOI on Saturday that the bodies could be brought home once airspace opens next week. “Singh’s body will be flown back along with the 16 rescued Indian crew members once the airspace opens,” a source at the DG Shipping office in Mumbai told TOI. “Travel documents and necessary local formalities are currently being processed.”
