Rocket League servers reportedly went down on Friday, with thousands of users taking to social media to complain about the outage. As of this writing, DownDetector has received over 8,000 complaints.

Several people complained that they couldn’t log into the server.

The company issued a statement explain “We are aware of reports of matchmaking issues in Rocket League. Our teams are already investigating and we will share an update as soon as a solution is found.” The cause of the outage remains unclear.

“Rocket League” is a free, high-intensity “soccer” (football and car) a video game developed by Psyonix. Reports show that as of March 2026, the game had more than 1 million concurrent players during peak hours.

As a result, many users took to social media to express their displeasure with the Rocket League suspension. DownDetector shows that most people are experiencing server connection issues, while others are complaining about login issues.

“Cannot find games to connect to! Says searching!” one person wrote on the DownDetector page. Another added “Can’t log in. I’m cooking too!”.

Rocket League: How to fix login issues

Some ways to troubleshoot Rocket League login issues include checking the Epic Games status page for server outages.

If the server is online, you should restart the router and the game, verify the integrity of the game files in the launcher, try to synchronize the system clock, and clear the cache. You must also ensure that no VPN is active and try switching to a wired connection.

However, considering Rocket League has acknowledged the issue, it’s unlikely that a user-level fix will resolve the login issues.

While some people on DownDetector have commented that the server has provided them with backup, many others have complained of continuing to face issues. DownDetector also shows that complaints about access to Rocket League have surged to more than 13,000, up from more than 8,000 complaints initially mentioned.
