Former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is facing new scrutiny following reports that her alleged relationship with Corey Lewandowski may have ended shortly after she was fired from her administration.
Lewandowski, who has long been rumored to be romantically involved with Noem, allegedly distanced himself from Noem “without a job or access,” Rob Shuter reported.

Lewandowski allegedly ended his relationship with Noem after Noem was removed from office, with sources saying he was “not interested without a job and access.”
The alleged breakup drew widespread attention online because Lewandowski is widely seen as one of Noem’s closest political allies in Washington. The former Trump campaign manager served as a powerful adviser within the Department of Homeland Security as a “special government employee.”
Robert Schutte’s report said Levandowski had grown into one of the most influential leaders at the Department of Homeland Security, carefully managing operations and exerting significant influence behind the scenes.
The disagreement between Noem and Lewandowski coincides with growing criticism of their tenures at DHS, including allegations that Lewandowski privately boasted of having complete autonomy.
“He’s telling people he can do whatever he wants because Trump will pardon him,” a Washington insider told Naughty Danes.

‘Cory likes to be close to power’
People familiar with the matter said Lewandowski was attracted to Noem because of her power.
The insider detailed, “Cory loves being close to power. When Christie had power, he clung to her. Now that she doesn’t, he moves on.”
He further added, “The relationship is always about power. Without a job and access, Corey is no longer interested.”
Their relationship appeared to unravel just as quickly as their political careers when the pair left the department amid suspicion, insiders said.
He further stated that their relationship was never “romantic.” “This is a power story,” the insider said.
