New Delhi: India’s stance on terrorism remains firm and uncompromising, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a joint press statement with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in Kuala Lumpur, reiterating New Delhi’s support for peace efforts. He added that India and Malaysia will strengthen security cooperation, including counter-terrorism, intelligence sharing and maritime security, while expanding defense cooperation.“Our message on terrorism is clear: no double standards and no compromise,” PM Modi said.Prime Minister Modi’s remarks in Malaysia came days after India said the extradition of fugitive preacher Zakir Naik would be among the issues discussed during talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.The joint press statement came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held delegation-level talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim during which the two sides exchanged several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).
