NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tish shares details of two suspects detained after throwing bomb in front of New York City mayor Zoran MamdaniGracie Mansion Residence. It is unclear whether Mandani and his wife Rama Devaji I was at home at the time.
The alleged bombs were reportedly thrown towards where the protesters were. The event was organized by Jack Long, a right-wing activist involved in the January rebellion. Commissioner Tisch said Amir Barat and Ibrahim Nick have been identified as suspects.

Tisch added that the device appeared to be a canister wrapped in black tape that contained nuts, bolts and screws and a “quick” ignition fuse.
The incident sparked accusations of an “assassination attempt” against Mamdani. “New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani suffered an alleged assassination attempt at Gracie Mansion,” reads a profile on X . Another added, “Reported assassination attempt on New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.”
However, Barratt and Nick’s motives remain unknown. Tisch gave no further details about the suspects. Although some netizens speculated that right-wing activist Mamdani suffered an “assassination attempt” just jack It was earlier shared that a “nail” bomb was thrown at him.
