The wedding of Arjun Tendulkar, son of India’s legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar, turned into a grand gathering for the biggest names in cricket, with several stalwarts across generations arriving in Mumbai on Thursday to celebrate the occasion.Among the most notable guests was former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who attended the ceremony with his wife Sakshi Dhoni. Former India all-rounder Suresh Raina and his wife Priyanka Raina were also present at the celebrations.
India head coach Gautam Gambhir attended the wedding with his wife Natasha Jain Gambhir, just hours before India’s T20 World Cup semi-final against England cricket team.The guest list also included several key management personnel and cricket officials. International Cricket Council president Jay Shah was among the dignitaries present at the ceremony. Former India head coach Ravi Shastri arrived with his family and Board of Control for Cricket in India vice-president Rajiv Shukla was also present.Former India captain and former head coach Rahul Dravid, who led India to the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title, attended the ceremony with his wife. Senior commentator Harsha Bhogle was also one of the notable guests.Several former Indian cricketers were present at the celebrations. These include Kiran More, Venkatesh Prasad, current Chief Elector of India Ajit Agarkar, Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra. Current India batsman Ajinkya Rahane and former opener commentator Aakash Chopra were also present along with their spouses.former world cup all-around champion Yuvraj SinghIrfan Pathan also joined the festivities, adding more star power to the gathering of Indian cricketing luminaries.Arjun tied the knot with Saaniya Chandhok, who comes from a prominent business background. She is the granddaughter of industrialist Ravi Ghai, chairman of Graviss Group, and has been close to the Tendulkar family over the years, especially with Arjun’s sister Sara Tendulkar.The 26-year-old left-arm pacer has played five games in the Indian Premier League and picked up three wickets during his time with Mumbai Indians. He was first bought by the team in the 2021 mini-auction and eventually made his IPL debut in the 2023 season.Arjun later went on to play for Mumbai Indians for several seasons before being traded to Lucknow Supergiants ahead of the IPL 2026 mini-auction. He will play for the team next season.Arjun, who made his debut with Mumbai Cricket Team in 2021 and is currently playing domestic cricket for Goa Cricket Team, has now started a new chapter in his personal life with a wedding that brought together some of the biggest stars of Indian cricket.
