Anthropic CEO and Co-Founder Dario Amodei was recently interviewed Nikhil Kamath About artificial intelligence and its impact on the world. The technology leader also discussed India’s role in the evolving technology landscape. On the “People by WTF” podcast, Amodei answered whether he thinks artificial intelligence will affect human cognitive abilities and make the race “stupid.”

“I’m sitting with Dario Amodei bangalore. He created Cloud, but he started out as a biologist looking for tools to cure disease. Today, he presides over an artificial intelligence revolution that he likens to a society actively ignored by a tsunami society. We discussed some heavy questions: why Anthropic secretly kept a working model before ChatGPT existed, whether artificial intelligence is on the edge of consciousness, and whether outsourcing our thinking is making humans dumber. Dalio believes that coding is a dying skill, that critical thinking is our last real advantage, and that the current absurd concentration of power in artificial intelligence is a huge problem, even though he is one of the people who wields that power,” Camas wrote on YouTube while sharing a video of the podcast.
Will artificial intelligence make humans stupider?
During the discussion, Zerodha co-founder asked Amodei, “Do you think humans as a race will get dumber in the next ten years?” He continued, “Because…if we could have a way to export thinking and cognition into the system.”
Amodai responded: “Yes… I think if we deploy AI in the wrong way, if we deploy it carelessly, then, yes, people may become stupider.”
He continued: “Even if AI You’re always going to be better at something and you can still learn that thing, right? You can still enrich yourself intellectually. “
He said this is a choice humans must make as individual companies, individuals and societies.
Dario Amodei’s advice to young people:
When asked what skills people in this day and age should learn if they are considering starting a business or furthering their education, the technology leader said: “I would think about human-centered tasks.“
“What industry would I choose other than an industry with physical interfaces?” Kamath asked. “Anything you build on artificial intelligence,” Amodai responded, noting that anything in the semiconductor space would be helpful.
Who is Dario Amodei?
