Thousands of users are reporting issues with X, formerly Twitteron Friday afternoon, according to Down Detector.
Over 2900 X users are complaining on Down Detector that the posts on their feed were not loading. The problem seems to be affecting users across the app and browser access.
The graph of X outage on Down Detector shows that the outage started around 3:30pm EDT the previous day and increased sharply in the next few minutes. At first there were 2216 reports around 3:37pm EDT, which increased to 2957 by 3:52 pm EDT. However, that was the peak of the outage, as after that it fell to almost none by 4:30 pm EDT.

40% of the users complained about issues with the app, 27% about the feed and 21% with the website. Several users also complained that they were not able to receive notification even though the platform itself was working fine.
“Is anybody asking everybody whether or not notification is glitching on X?” wrote one.
“X is being weird and I can’t refresh my notifications. Guess that’s my sign to get off my phone for a bit,” joke another.
“Umm, so my notifications on X app is broken. Like I get the little blue number on the bell, but when I go to see and refresh it, there’s nothing…I tried closing the app and clearing the catch, but still not working. Not sure what’s going on,” added another.
“what if I won?? but it’s not showing up in my notifs damnnn X pls fix the notification,” said another.
As of this writing, has has not adddressed the outage or what caused it.
