Patrick Clancy spotted with new wife during the trial break

The stress of the ongoing murder trial may be getting to Patrick Clancy. He was reportedly seen looking “tense” while talking to his rarely-seen new wife during a break in the trial.

He was spotted having an emotional conversation with his wife, fertility doctor Rachel Danison what looked like a rooftop patio of a high-rise in New York Cityas per TMZ. The two were seen at a Manhattan apartment around 8pm on Thursday, while Lindsay’s trial was on a break.

Witnesses told the outlet Patrick and Danis spent close to 30 minutes on the roof, on and off their phones, and looked “visibly stressed” while talking to each other. Patrick was seen taking calls and pacing in circles while on his phone. At one point, he reportedly sat down with his feet up on a table and wiggled his toes. Rachel, meanwhile, stayed mostly on the couch, talking and making her own calls.

Patrick Clancy has moved on and married Rachel Danis

Patrick has stayed by Lindsay’s side through the trial, even though he has already remarried. He reportedly married Danis, an NYC-based fertility specialist, in a small ceremony at the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park in April.

His attorney, Kevin Reddington, spoke about Patrick’s situation in court. “Patrick Clancy has suffered one of the worst tragedies that anyone could ever suffer,” Reddington said. “How that guy is not an emotional basket case is beyond me, and he is trying hard to move on with his life. As the court is aware, they’re divorced, he’s remarried, he has a family,” as per Radar Online.

Patrick has said he has “forgiven” Lindsay and even testified in her defense. He told the jury he was out getting food and medicine when he called Lindsay with a question about her medication. “She was pretty quiet. It sounded like she was busy,” he said. “I remember hanging up thinking she’s probably in the middle of giving baths, or something like that.”

He then described coming home to a horrifying scene, saying he found “blood everywhere and the window was open.” He found Lindsay outside with “deep cuts on her wrists” and a red line across her neck, going in and out of consciousness. “She said, ‘I tried to kill myself,’” he recalled.

What is happening in the trial

As the defense presents its case, forensic psychiatrist Dr Phillip Resnick took the stand on Friday through a video feed.

Resnick told the jury Lindsay showed signs of being “clearly psychotic” on the day she killed her children. “She was clearly psychotic on that day,” he said.

He explained that on January 24, 2023, Lindsay heard a “command voice” telling her to carry out the killings. “She had what is known as a ‘delusion of influence,’” he said.

According to Resnick, Lindsay felt her body was taken over by an outside force and she wasn’t in control. “Not only did she hear a command but she felt her body was taken over by an external force where she was in a dream state and did not have control of her own body. It was almost like she was a puppet and someone else was pulling the strings,” he said.

Resnick said Lindsay had a distorted but selfless reason for the killings, believing her children would suffer greatly without her and that it would be better for them to go to heaven with her than to keep living without her as their mother.

Lindsay Clancy is on trial in Massachusetts for strangling her three young children, 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan, in January 2023, before jumping out of a second-story window in a suicide attempt. She admits to the killings but blames postpartum depression and too many prescribed medicines for her actions. Her trial is now in its third week.
