The 20-year-old helped the U.S. return to the women’s podium at the Olympics for the first time since Sarah Hughes won gold at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games.

Prior to this, the United States defeated Canada 2-1 in overtime to win the women’s ice hockey gold medal. Megan Keller scored the winning goal to defeat the defending champions in instant classic fashion.
