Patrick Clancy has built a new life in New York after the deaths of his three children, while his former wife, Lindsay Clancy, is on trial in Massachusetts. Patrick, 38, divorced Lindsay and married Dr. Rachel Danisa fertility specialist, in April 2026. The couple held a small wedding ceremony at the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park and later celebrated with family and friends. Patrick has also focused on charity work and remembering his children. His new life has drawn attention as he recently returned to court to testify during Lindsay’s murder trial.

Who is Patrick Clancy’s new wife Rachel Danis? Friends reveal new details

Patrick moved from Massachusetts to Manhattan in May 2023, four months after Cora, Dawson and Callan died. The Daily Mail reported that he later married Dr Rachel Danis, 37, in April 2026. The ceremony took place at the historic Ladies Pavilion overlooking Central Park’s lake, followed by a celebration at Sarabeth’s.

Rachel works as a fertility specialist in New York. RMA New York identifies her as a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist. She is also an assistant clinical professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

A friend of Rachel’s family described the couple’s relationship as a caring one. The friend told the Daily Mail: “Pat has obviously gone through an incredible trauma, and Rachel is a nurturing person by nature. She is upbeat, smiling, vivacious, and full of energy. It’s fitting that she helps create life in the face of this tragedy.”

Rachel’s mother, Sue, also supported the marriage. In messages shared with friends after the wedding, she described Patrick as “a really nice guy” and wrote, “I hope it all goes well for her.”

Patrick has not publicly discussed his new marriage in detail. He declined to comment through his attorney.

Patrick Clancy’s life after Cora, Dawson and Callan’s deaths

Patrick’s life changed on January 24, 2023, when he returned to the family’s Duxbury home and found his three children dead and Lindsay seriously injured after a fall from a second-floor window.

Lindsay is accused of killing five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson and eight-month-old Callan. She survived the fall and was left paralyzed from the waist down.

Patrick later became involved in work connected to his children’s memory. He and his sisters helped start Heard with Love, a nonprofit that supports parents dealing with perinatal mental health challenges. The organisation’s website lists Patrick as a co-founder.

The Boston Globe also reported on a playground created in Duxbury in memory of the three children. Patrick helped with the project, which includes features linked to Cora, Dawson and Callan.

Patrick has also spoken about forgiving Lindsay. In an interview with The New Yorker, he said: “I wasn’t married to a monster – I was married to someone who got sick.”

Lindsay Clancy trial and Patrick Clancy’s testimony

Patrick recently returned to court as a witness in Lindsay’s murder trial. The prosecution says Lindsay planned the killings, while her defence argues that severe postpartum mental illness left her unable to understand that her actions were wrong.

During his testimony, Patrick described Lindsay as a loving mother before her mental health worsened. He also spoke about the family’s final hours before the children died.

A 911 recording played in court captured Patrick’s reaction after he found the children. He could be heard shouting, “She killed the kids!”

Patrick has continued to show support for Lindsay despite their divorce. After the deaths, he asked people to “find it deep within yourselves to forgive Lindsay, as I have.”

The trial is now focused on whether Lindsay should be held criminally responsible for the deaths or found not guilty by reason of insanity. Her final legal outcome remains with the jury.
