Chandler Hendry’s last Instagram post in focus after LDS apologist tragically dies: ‘We lost a good one’
Chandler “Chuck” Hendry’s final Instagram post has drawn renewed attention after the Latter-day Saint apologist was reportedly killed in a car crash in Lehi, Utah, with mourners turning to his social media pages to remember his work and faith.
Hendry, who ran the Restored Truth platform, had posted a video discussing the afterlife, family relationships and the Plan of Salvation in Latter-day Saint thought. The post, shared shortly before reports of his death, has since become a focal point for followers mourning the loss of a prominent voice in the LDS apologetics community.
The circumstances surrounding Hendry’s reported death have not been fully confirmed publicly. As per reportsa three-vehicle crash occurred in Lehi on Friday morning and that one adult man was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead. Authorities had not publicly identified the victim as Hendry at the time of the report.

In the video, Hendry discussed a presentation by Anthony Sweat at FAIR, a conference associated with scholarship and discussion surrounding Latter-day Saint beliefs.
Hendry described what he called the first known depiction of the Plan of Salvation in Latter-day Saint thought as it relates to the eternal family structure. He focused on the idea of family lineages extending back to Adam and how those connections could be understood in the context of eternity.
He also raised an interpretation of Doctrine and Covenants 132, suggesting that the reference to “prosperity” could relate to the prosperity of generations and family lineages rather than future creations.
“Let me know your thoughts,” Hendry said at the end of the video.
The post has taken on a different meaning for followers following reports of his death, with commenters reflecting on his faith and his contribution to online LDS discussions.

Hendry’s followers have flooded his latest Instagram post with messages of grief.
“We lost a good one. Keep doing the good work, brother,” one commenter wrote. Another expressed condolences to his family and the wider LDS content-creator community.
A separate message said Hendry had made a significant impact and suggested that his work would continue beyond his death.
Other tributes have appeared across social media. A message attributed to Chantry B. Hendry described Chandler as being with God and spoke about continuing his mission. “RIP Chandler even though I did not know him personally, I learned a ton from him on how to defend our faith. His debates and videos will live on forever. More will come unto the fold because of his willingness to stand up for Christ’s church. Left a great legacy here on Earth and will continue his mission in the spirit world,” one said. Another added “Never met you, but looked up to you a ton. Thank you for sustaining and defending the faith. Your testimony was powerful. One of the best of the Saints. We lost a good one. RIP.”
