President of the United States Donald Trump announced on Saturday that he had “just completed” a medical exam walter reed national army Medical Center, although he did not say when the test took place.

It was Trump’s third in-person physical exam in 13 months, according to a memo from a White House physician released after Trump visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
“He is fully fit to perform all the duties of Commander-in-Chief,” Dr. Sean Bababella, the president’s physician, said in the memo, which was issued three days after his exam.
The memo states that Trump underwent a series of tests to assess areas such as heart function, eye health and lung function. Barbella noted that Trump’s weight was recorded at 238 pounds, a gain of 14 pounds since his April 2025 visit, and his resting heart rate was 73 beats per minute. In addition, according to Barbabella, Trump underwent a neurological examination, including a cognitive function screening, and scored 30 points (out of 30 points).
Trump uses drugs to control cholesterol levels and prevent heart problems
Their doctor further stated that Trump is currently taking medication to control cholesterol levels and prevent heart problems.
“The president is kept up to date on all appropriate preventive screenings and immunizations,” Bababella said. “Routine cancer screenings, cardiovascular risk assessments, and metabolic assessments are up to date and performed at recommended intervals. Preventive counseling is provided, including dietary guidance, recommendations for low-dose aspirin, increased physical activity, and continued weight loss.”
Trump has bruises on his hands and swelling on his legs
The report also covers two incidents that have attracted public attention in recent months: bruises on the hands and swelling in the legs. Bababella related the hand bruising to frequent handshakes and the use of aspirin, emphasizing that coagulation characteristics were normal.
However, they did not provide details about aspirin dosage.
Trump visited Walter Reed twice last year (April and October) and had two dental appointments in Florida this year: one in January and another in May.
