New Delhi: CCTV footage from J&K’s RS Pura Juvenile Observation House captured the dramatic moments that erupted after three inmates, including two Pakistani citizens, attacked armed guards, triggering a massive manhunt in Jammu region.The incident took place at around 5.15 pm on Monday at the Watch House in Jammu border area. The police identified the fugitives as Karajeet Singh alias Gugga, a resident of Dablehar in RS Pura, and two Pakistani nationals, Mohammad Suna-ullah and Ahsan Anwar. Officials said the trio attacked two police officers on duty before fleeing the scene.CCTV video showed an inmate pointing a gun at a security guard and firing a weapon inside the facility. According to PTI, the locally made pistol was smuggled into the house. Police are investigating the source of the weapons and the circumstances leading up to the attack.Two injured police officers – Special Constable Vinay Kumar and Head Constable Praveen Kumar – were rushed to hospital. Divisional Hospital Medical Officer Dr Sanowal Singh said both men received first aid and were later referred to the Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital for further treatment.The fugitives allegedly robbed a motorcycle at gunpoint and fled the area. Security was immediately stepped up, with special checkpoints set up on routes leading to the Samba district, amid concerns that the men might try to reach the national highway or head to the border.Jammu police launched a massive search operation, formed special teams and conducted raids at multiple locations. Senior officials, including police chief Nalin Prabhat and inspector general Bhim Sen Tuti, visited the site as investigations into the escape and possible lapses at the facility continued.
