Mitch McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao, has spoken publicly about the 84-year-old senator’s health following his recent hospitalization.

Ms. Zhao, the daughter of a Chinese-American shipping magnate, said her husband’s deteriorating health “does not require him to return home immediately.”
During his hospitalization, McConnell’s Wife flies to China to support her “family charity”. According to her spokesperson, “During her trip, she met with many people, including the U.S. Ambassador. The senator’s health does not warrant an immediate return to the United States.”
The remarks came hours after Scott JenningsA CNN MAGA spokesman claimed McConnell contacted him from his hospital bed on Tuesday morning for a 17-minute conversation.

The spokesperson announced that 73-year-old Elaine Chao has returned to the United States. Chao’s team did not respond to The Daily Beast’s inquiries about McConnell’s health, the exact time of her return to the United States, or the identity of the person who discovered her husband.

Furthermore, the statement failed to clarify how she arranged to meet Chinese Vice President Han Zheng in Beijing three days after her husband was found unconscious. She holds no official title and faced hostility from President Donald Trump after resigning from his Cabinet post on Jan. 7, 2021, over the Capitol attack.
Chao served as transportation secretary during the early days of the Trump administration and also served as labor secretary during the George W. Bush administration.
McConnell suffered a heart attack at his residence in Washington, D.C., on June 14, according to emergency dispatch call audio obtained by independent journalist Desirée Townsend. 911 call audio shows first responders were told “CPR is in progress” due to “cardiac arrest.”
The 84-year-old senator from Kentucky’s condition has been the subject of speculation since he was hospitalized.
Far-right influencer and prominent Trump aide Laura Loomer Claims “senior sources close to the White House” have told her McConnell is “brain dead,” although the report has not been confirmed.
Other MAGA sources said the lack of information about the Republican senator’s health was questionable.
