A police officer and two others were killed in Rittman’s shooting, OhioAccording to the video shared, the sheriff told local media Intel X. Two officers and a K9 were injured. The suspect is dead.

“Officers responded to the area and immediately began firing. At this time, we lost an officer in the line of duty,” Sheriff Tom Ballinger said in the video. “Two other people were injured. A K9 dog from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was also injured.”
He added that the suspect was dead.
“The Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) is currently investigating,” he added.
What we know about the shooting so far
Chief Ballinger told reporters that the dispatch center received a 911 call around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 5 “for some type of disturbance and shooting.” Responding police officers immediately began firing.

News 5 crews were at the scene near Cheyenne Drive droneThere was also a helicopter in the air, the outlet reported. They saw law enforcement officers walking through front lawns and backyards, asking residents how many people were in their homes. They seemed to be focusing on a two-story house.
The Ohio Highway Patrol was urging people to avoid the area near Rittman High School last night, the Worcester Post reported.
