according to officials henry ford Medical Center – Fairlane Hospital is currently on lockdown. Meanwhile, officials told Fox 2 that three people were shot during chaotic scenes inside the mall. The store also reported that the mall is currently on lockdown.
“This is an active and ongoing investigation. We ask residents and visitors to avoid the area while officers secure the scene and investigators work,” the Dearborn Police Department said in a statement on Facebook.
Authorities did not release further details about the shooting. “More information will be released as it becomes available.”
The shopping mall is located near Changqing Road. michigan Main street.
Multiple social media posts from shoppers inside the mall showed people fleeing for the exits and what appeared to be multiple gunshots in the background.
