Bensalem train derailment: Video shows chaos in cars near Neshaminy Falls; shelter-in-place ordered
A freight train carrying CSX derailed near the Neshaminy Falls station near the town of Bensalem. pennsylvania Tuesday afternoon in Bucks County. A shelter-in-place order was issued for the area near the derailment, and hazmat crews and local fire crews responded to the scene.

NBC 10 Philadelphia reported no injuries. But hazmat crews are assessing potential Dangerous goods situation that triggered the prevention of evacuation Order. The report quoted officials as confirming that at least 13 freight cars derailed. As of now, it’s unclear what materials were inside the derailed car.

Residents of the town of Bensalem and nearby areas were notified that exposure to the substance could cause difficulty breathing, loss of coordination and a burning sensation in the eyes, nose, throat and lungs, local media reported.

Additionally, residents are asked to stay indoors and turn off air conditioners.
Police and emergency officials are expected to provide more updates on the situation at a media conference later Tuesday. Performances have been scheduled at the nearby Neshaminy Mall.
The town of Bensalem is located in southeastern Bucks County and northeast of Philadelphia. It sits along the Delaware River.
