He added, “There is no need for a long, unwieldy constitutional amendment! Congress should start working today to end what is a costly and unfair situation for our country, birthright Country of Citizenship. They will have my full support! “
In the court’s view, Chief Justice Roberts said there was “insufficient evidence” to support the Trump administration’s “substantially revisionist view” of the Fourteenth Amendment and birthright citizenship limits.
