Why doesn’t Apple Map work? Users report being unable to find their way due to power outage; ‘Everything fell apart’
Apple Maps is not working for thousands of users in the United States, with many users reporting problems accessing directions and search features.

According to DownDetector, reports of the problem began around 7:10 pm ET on Sunday.
As of 7:30 p.m., the outage tracking website had received more than 1,500 reports from users experiencing service issues.

Many users also reported the outage to X (formerly Twitter).
One user complained: “Mannnnnnn, I can’t go anywhere on that damn Easy on Apple Maps.”
Another wrote: “Now why is Apple Maps down when we are at the beach and have no idea where to go. Google Maps, we appreciate you now but we must improve the look of your maps immediately.”
A third user reported, “My Apple Maps doesn’t close when I leave the house.”
Another added, “Glad I know how to get around because for whatever reason Apple Maps doesn’t work anymore.”
“It’s crazy that Apple Maps is down, I have no sense of direction,” another user wrote.
