Boise storm update: Severe thunderstorms in Idaho spark tornado fears; scary video emerges – WATCH
On June 26, Boise, Idaho, experienced severe thunderstorms. The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a special weather advisory, warning of winds up to 50 mph and the possibility of “penny-sized” hail in the area.

“A special weather statement has been issued for City of Boise ID, Boise ID, and Eagle ID until 10:15 PM PDT (12:15 AM ET),” the NWS said, sharing a map of the affected areas.
Meanwhile, horrific videos and photos from the storm in Boise are circulating online.
“The wild skies captured at a small rodeo outside of Boise tonight just in time to put my patio mats in place,” one person wrote on X.
Another video posted on Facebook showed heavy rain. “Holy hole in the donut, Batman! What a storm in Boise/Meridian, ID right now!! Thunder, lightning, hail, rain…, a combination of storms!!” the person wrote.
There was also a video showing a man skidding in the water on the street in the rain.
The NWS also issued an alert, “A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for the Boise metro. This thunderstorm has gusts of 50-60 mph and is accompanied by heavy rain, road flooding, and small hail. Shelter immediately!”. While this has raised concerns about tornadoes, there have been no confirmed reports of tornado formation in the area.

CBS 2 Boise shared photos of the hail online and reported that the storm caused widespread power outages. Meanwhile, a video shared online showed hail on the ground.
