Sedona Pocket Fire update: Vast swaths of Arizona vegetation on fire; check maps, evacuation plans — scary video emerges

One person shared the photo on X and wrote “Huge fire spotted north of Camp Verde near Sedona. Oh my gosh.”
Another person wrote on Facebook: “As we enter another hot summer in Sedona, we would like to remind everyone that fire awareness is important. Please obey all local fire restrictions, avoid spark-generating activities, put out cigarettes properly, never leave campfires unattended, and think twice before parking in hay or using equipment that may ignite vegetation. One spark can change everything.”

A local channel also shared a video indicating that evacuations were taking place in the Juniping area of Oak Creek Canyon.
Another person shared a photo of the road where the fire could be seen from a distance.
“On the way to a show at the Sedona Hilton,” they wrote. Others shared more photos. “There’s a fire in Sedona,” someone commented.
Thick white smoke can be seen in the image. Someone else shared a photo from the road.
“Small fire in the Secret Mountain/Red Rock area. I photographed this from Flagstaff. Hopefully it will be extinguished soon,” they wrote. Another person shared a video of a distant fire.
News of a small fire near Sedona has many worried, with some asking which direction the fire is spreading while others are praying for the safety of first responders.
