Local news outlets reported that the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding a shooting at a convenience store. A local news outlet reported that the man had been shot in the neck, and first responders who arrived at the scene found the victim with a “serious gunshot wound.”
“We are requesting a medical helicopter be dispatched to fly the victim to Savannah for treatment. Those believed to be involved in the shooting remain on scene and are in the custody of Hinesville Police.” Report further added. However, the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office has no update on the shooting.
Another local media reported that police were “investigating a serious assault involving a shooting.” The report adds, “Officers are actively working the scene and parts of the area may remain restricted while investigators work. The public is asked to avoid the area and seek alternative routes so emergency responders and investigators can work safely.” Photos from the shooting scene were also shared.

Someone else shared a photo of an alleged police presence and helicopter at the scene of a reported shooting.
“Praying for the situation in Haynesville, GA. Just heard a man was shot six times in the chest due to a fight over a free gas pump in Wawa,” the person wrote, although this information has not been confirmed by any authorities.
Another local wrote “Be careful when filming in Wawa Haynesville.”

Another said, “Any update they have on the victim who was shot is a senseless act.” Many others complained about the situation in Haynesville, with one saying “Nothing good can be in Haynesville.” Another added: “OMG I can’t even go to Wawa to be with the victims and their families in my thoughts and prayers.”
