Voting has just ended in Maine, and early ballots are pouring in in South Carolina as voters in four states cast their ballots in the latest round of 2026 midterm primaries on Tuesday.

Republican Sen. Susan Collins, a Democrat, easily won re-election in Maine’s uncontested Senate primary Graham Plattner is the favorite to win the nomination and challenge her in November.
In South Carolina, incumbent Sen. Lindsey Graham dominates the Republican primary.
Meanwhile, former Maine Gov. Paul LePage won the Republican nomination to run for the state’s 2nd Congressional District.

U.S. Senate Republican primaries
Incumbent Senator Lindsey Graham dominated the early election with 65.4% of the vote, well ahead of challenger Mark Lynch’s 22.8%. According to NBC News, Graham is expected to easily win re-election.
U.S. Senate Democratic primaries
State Sen. Annie Andrews leads with 59.9 percent, followed by Brandon Brown at 31.8 percent.
Governor’s race (possible runoff)
Republican primary: Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette leads with 35.4 percent, followed by Wilson at 22.2 percent. A runoff election will likely be held on June 23.
democratic primaries: Joe Johnson leads with 55.7% to Webster’s 33.4%.
Maine (Polls close at 8 p.m. ET)
The results of the high-profile Democratic Senate primary have not yet been announced. Marine Corps veteran and oyster farmer Graham Platner entered the night as the favorite to win the nomination and will face incumbent Republican Sen. Susan Collins in November.
The Democratic primary for Maine’s open 2nd Congressional District is also being closely watched.
