Video shared online appeared to show Vance’s motorcade being escorted by police through Washington, D.C., to the White House shortly after Trump scheduled an emergency call with regional leaders and senior advisers.

The sudden activity fueled speculation about a potential breakthrough in talks involving Iran, especially after Trump publicly hinted that talks were nearing completion.

in the long statement Trump posted on Truth Social that he was in the Oval Office discussing with a number of world leaders about what he said was a potential peace deal related to Iran.

“I’m in the Oval Office and we just had a great call with President Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates, Emir Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani and Minister of Qatar Ali al-Sawadi,” Trump wrote.

He also said that Pakistan Army Field Marshal Asim Munir, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Jordanian King Abdullah II and Bahrain King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa participated in the talks.

Trump said the discussion was focused on “the Islamic Republic of Iran and all things related to the peace memorandum of understanding.”

“The agreement has basically been negotiated”

Trump claimed that the deal involving the United States, Iran and several regional countries was close to completion.

“An agreement has been essentially negotiated and remains to be finalized between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the other countries listed,” he said.

The president added that he spoke separately with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying the conversation “went very well.”

“Final aspects and details of the agreement are currently being discussed and will be announced soon,” Trump added.

He further claimed that “the Strait of Hormuz will be opened,” referring to the strategically important shipping lane that has been at the heart of regional tensions.
