A tornado hits Blue Rapids in Marshall County, kansasMonday afternoon, causing extensive damage. Videos of the severe damage caused by the tornado surfaced on social media.
The tornado in the Blue Jets comes as the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a severe tornado warning for parts of western and northwest Kansas. These include Atchison, Doniphan and Marshall counties, among others, and last until 10 p.m.
Storm tracker Max Velocity shared live video from Blue Rapids showing damage to trees, fields and power lines. The tornado was classified as a potentially destructive tornado (PDS), Velocity reported.
