New Delhi: A bomb scare was reported on board an IndiGo flight scheduled to fly from Kolkata to Shillong on Saturday morning, prompting authorities to evacuate passengers and move the aircraft to a quarantine pod for inspection.After the scare, an IndiGo spokesperson said that the relevant authorities were immediately alerted in accordance with the standard operating procedures and made every effort to coordinate safety inspections.“A security threat was detected on board IndiGo flight 6E 7304 from Kolkata to Shillong on February 14, 2026. As per standard operating procedures (SOPs), we immediately informed the authorities concerned and fully cooperated with them in conducting necessary security checks. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers. As always, the safety of our customers, crew and aircraft is our top priority,” the statement said.Director of Kolkata Airport Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport said: “Kolkata Shillong Indigo Flight 6E3074 was scheduled to take off from Kolkata Airport at 9:15 am. The aircraft has been moved to the isolation compartment. While boarding, the crew found a piece of paper in the toilet of the aircraft stating that there was a bomb in the aircraft. Subsequently, the passengers were immediately taken off the aircraft.” The inspection process is in progress. “
