New Delhi: There have been several broadcast errors over the years, but the one during the first Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh certainly stands out. Broadcasters mistakenly showed India’s scorecard instead of Pakistan’s squad during the opening Test in Dhaka. The mistake occurred after Pakistan won the toss and elected to play at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. While the broadcasters were supposed to show Pakistan’s XI, they accidentally flashed India’s scorecard, which included players like Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dubey, Jitesh Sharma, Linku Singh, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar. The incident reportedly took place during a live broadcast when visuals related to the Indian team were shown instead of match graphics for the ongoing Pakistan vs Bangladesh Test. While the video of the bug is no longer available on social media, fans quickly captured screenshots and photos of the moment, which quickly went viral across platforms. The broadcast error quickly turned into a meme fest online, with fans flooding social media with reactions and jokes. So far, the broadcaster has not issued an official clarification on the error.Meanwhile, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 413 runs after opting to bat first. Najmul Hossain Shanto hit a brilliant century while Mominul Haque contributed 91 runs. Shanto hit his ninth Test hundred off just 129 balls, hitting 12 fours and two sixes to entertain the home crowd at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
