Mohammad Kumel Shaik, a 26-year-old Indian student, died of a heart attack in the United States.
Mohammed Kumel Shaik, a 26-year-old Indian student, died of cardiac arrest a day after celebrating his walking graduation from Golden Gate University in California. His friends launched a fundraiser to help transport his body back to India for the last rites.“Our dear friend Mohammad Kumel Shaik, age 26, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep this morning from cardiac arrest. Yesterday, he celebrated one of the most important moments of his life – his graduation walk from Golden Gate University. None of us thought that would be our last day with him,” fundraiser organizer Ravi Teja Nannapaneni wrote in the fundraiser.“Mohammed came to the United States with big dreams and worked incredibly hard for his future and his family in India. He was kind, humble, caring, and always there for his friends. His sudden death left everyone who knew him completely devastated. ““We are now working hard to raise funds to help return his body to India so that his family can see him one last time and perform his last rites. The family comes from a lower-middle-class background and this support will also help ease the burden of his education loans and unexpected expenses during this heartbreaking time.”According to reports, Shaikh is from Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, India.
