Norfolk Police said a man was arrested near Prince Andrew’s Sandringham residence on Wednesday night following reports of threatening behavior in the village of Wolverton.The suspect was detained on suspicion of public order offenses and possession of an offensive weapon. He was taken to King’s Lynn Police Station for questioning and inquiries continued on Thursday.According to The Guardian, the incident occurred near Sandringham Royal Park and Moor Farm, where Prince Andrew is reportedly currently staying after leaving the Royal Villa in Windsor last year.Police said they received a call shortly after 7.30pm about a man acting aggressively in Wolferton, a small village near the Sandringham estate.According to reports, Prince Andrew was accompanied by members of his personal security team when the incident occurred. Witnesses reportedly saw him quickly walking toward a nearby car before leaving the area.The incident occurred on public land near a lane surrounding the Sandringham estate, where security is often heightened due to the presence of members of the British royal family with links to King Charles III.Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the arrests. Prince Andrew’s representatives have not issued a statement, despite media inquiries.Prince Andrew has been under public scrutiny in recent years for his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The Duke of York has repeatedly denied the allegations related to Epstein and other allegations against him.The latest incident near Sandringham has renewed concerns about the safety of members of the royal family, with Norfolk Police continuing to investigate the circumstances of the arrests.
